SKO2 EMEA - ibm

My main project at IBM is Sales Kick Off (SKO), a quarterly event for sellers worldwide to get the latest guidance and inspiration from executives. My role was to produce several segments within the overall show, as well as manage the workflow with our various freelancers and production crews. Normally, these events are livestreamed to sellers within their region, but this one had a special exception.
During the setup day, while I was directing the local livestream crew, the entirety of Spain lost power. I’m proud that with the exceptional work of both my production crew and the local maintenance crew, I was able to coordinate the production of the once-live segments of the broadcast on-site that evening. I worked through the night to edit and post the finalized show as a video to the 8,000 sellers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, ensuring no loss of critical comms for those unaffected by the outage.

This is a main segment I produced within the project of SKO, but the goal of this segment was to be flipped into a monthly update for sellers to be viewed on an internal IBM video platform. The idea was to make normally droll updates and news into lighthearted and fun dialogue between the hosts while still committing to effective communication. I was one of three writers for the script, and acted as director and producer for the shoot. I even managed to sneak in a couple of cameos for myself and the other producer.

This series of interviews was a more barebones approach to producing content. I was approached by IBM’s Executive Acquisitions team to produce follow-up interviews between the team’s director, Carl, and some of their outstanding acquired C-suite talent. I assisted Carl and team as the sole producer for this project, from scripting to shooting to editing to publishing internally.

winning edge - IBM

As a technology monolith, IBM had a need for regular updates and communications to technical sellers from subject matter experts. Winning Edge was conceptualized as a regular series of livestreams to keep those sellers up to speed on the deep technical details. My parameters were to ensure the maximum amount of engagement for sellers while being able to scale. All production had to be done remotely, as the experts are spread across the globe. I acted as lead producer and primary technical director for the series with 85 streams to date.
